
Dr. Chelsea Pinto is a tongue and lip tie specialist in the greater Los Angeles area. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the USC Ostrow School of Dentistry in 2013 and completed a post-graduate General Practice Residency program. Dr. Pinto’s career started to shift from general dentistry to helping babies with challenges due to oral restrictions in 2016 and turned into an undeniable passion after experiencing her own journey in motherhood and breastfeeding.
Dr. Pinto has successfully treated thousands of babies with oral restrictions and prioritizes compassionate, individualized care and clarity in her assessment and procedural protocols. She strives to instill a sense of confidence in parents by providing them with the tools and knowledge to support their child’s oral motor skills, including appropriate therapeutic and feeding support referrals for a holistic, comprehensive approach.
Dr. Pinto uses the LightScalpel CO2 laser for a safe and quick frenectomy procedure that allows for greater mobility to support oral function. She is a member of the American Laser Study Club, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, International Affiliation of Tongue Tie Professionals and International Consortium of Oral Ankylofrenula Professionals. She is also an internationally recognized speaker on tongue ties and instructor of the comprehensive “Breathe Baby Course: Feeding, Feelings, and Function.”
Dr. Pinto and her husband have two little boys and a goldendoodle named Goose. Some of their favorite family activities include going to the beach, spending time outdoors and in the pool, and cooking together.
