Dr. Pinto evaluates children from 0-2 years of age with tongue and/or lip tie concerns. When indicated, she uses a state-of-the-art LightScalpel CO2 laser for a safe and quick frenectomy procedure that allows for greater structural mobility to support oral function. Dr. Pinto is the only frenectomy provider in California to implement Photobiomodulation (PBM) – Light Therapy, as part of her treatment protocols. The laser light interacts with tissues at the cellular level, leading to a cascade of beneficial effects – increasing cellular function and health. Dr. Pinto utilizes Light Therapy to enhance tissue healing properties, reduce inflammation and increase circulation inside and outside of the mouth to optimize movement patterns, flexibility and comfort for both mother and baby.
